Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Trailer

Konami has just released a new trailer for the next game in the Metal Gear franchise which is exclusive on Gamespot.com. Mechs, swords, and a light of slashing is the name of the game this time around. The stark contrast between Liquid Snake's subtle movements and Raiden's quick sword play was exciting.

According to the trailer, the end of a particular combat scenario or level a status screen will appear and display your combat results such as time, BP (battle points), zandatsu (whatever that is. A special I assume?), longest combo, and of course kills. These all get added up and display a combat ranking. This combat ranking system reminds me of the Genesis days of when you completed a level and you could measure how well you did.

Exciting sums up this trailer and I cannot wait for more details on this to emerge. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance will be dropping in February of this year.
