Bing It On!

Are one of those that declare at the top of your lungs, "Google search rules all!"? Well, now you can put this to the test. For the longest time Google has been the "go to" search engine. While I was in college Google search was the engine that teachers and student alike always talked about when looking up research for a paper. The term "Just Google it" shows how much our society thinks in terms of it's search engine compared to others.

Microsoft wants to challenge this thinking by offering a side by side comparison of the results Bing and Google provide and Microsoft calls it the "Bing It On Challenge". The way the challenge works is by giving you a search bar to enter in your query and will provide the results in a blind test fashion. You then pick which results best fit your searched term. This happens 5 times which are called rounds. Once you finish the 5th round, the site will notify you which search engine you preferred.

It's really a great idea for those that are nay sayers to Bing. The rounds do seem to give a fair choice. hopefully this will cause Google to step up their game. Give it a try and let me know in the comments what your result was.
