Google's Hud Glasses
I remember just about a month ago reading about Google's Hud Glasses. That was the first time I had ever heard of anything being in development for such a device. With the technology we have available today with augmented reality and super thin screen advancements such as OLED these glasses can become more and more of a reality.
For those that are not aware of the Hud Glasses, here is a little peak of what they could possibly do. Google is working on creating a pair of glasses that will display information on either one or both lenses. Information such as a daily weather forecast. Imagine the news being displayed right in front of your eyes or your schedule for the day all controlled with your voice.
Although these glasses are not completed at the time of this writing, Google has released a video display what these glasses might look like in use. The video gives us a quick glimpse into the interactivity that can be could be used through the lens. By watching the vid we can see reminders being created to purchase tickets at a later time, a way to locate those who utilize location sharing, texting, and many others.
The word is these glasses may be available at year's end. How much will these cost? What kind of data plan will be available for these? We will have to just wait and see when they are finally released. Can't wait...I'd better start saving up.
